Delete Your Chilink Account

Chilink Technology Solutions Ltd ("Chilink," "we," "our," or "us") provides this page to explain how users of the Chilink mobile app and website can request deletion of their account and associated personal data.

How to Request Account Deletion

You can request deletion of your Chilink account using any of the methods below.

Option 1: In the Chilink Mobile App (Recommended)

  1. Open the Chilink app and sign in to your account.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Tap Account.
  4. Tap Delete Account.
  5. Select a reason for leaving (optional) and confirm your request.

Your account will be deactivated immediately and you will be signed out of the app.

Option 2: On the Chilink Website

  1. Sign in at chilink.app.
  2. Open your profile at App → Profile.
  3. Scroll to the Danger Zone section.
  4. Click Delete Account and confirm with your account password.

Your account will be deactivated immediately and you will be signed out.

Option 3: By Email

If you cannot access the app or website, email us at info@chilink.app with the subject line Account Deletion Request. Include the email address or phone number associated with your Chilink account so we can verify your identity and process the request.

We aim to complete email-based deletion requests within 7 business days.

Data That Is Deleted or Deactivated

When your account is deleted, Chilink removes or deactivates access to the following personal data:

  • Profile information (name, username, email address, phone number, avatar, and bio details)
  • Account login credentials and active sessions
  • API and authentication tokens
  • Push notification subscriptions
  • Your ability to access chats, meetings, workspaces, contacts, and other account features

Data That May Be Retained

Some information may be kept after account deletion for legitimate business, security, or legal reasons:

  • Messages and shared content you sent in group conversations, meetings, or shared workspaces may remain visible to other participants.
  • Account deletion feedback (such as your selected reason for leaving) may be stored separately for product improvement.
  • Server, security, and audit logs may be retained for a limited period to prevent fraud and abuse.
  • Records required by law may be kept for as long as applicable regulations require.

Data Retention Period

Deleted accounts are deactivated immediately. Personal data associated with a deleted account is retained in our systems for up to 90 days to allow recovery in cases of accidental deletion and to complete any pending security reviews, after which it is permanently deleted or anonymized, except where a longer retention period is required by law.
